A beautiful 1.3Km lake for wild swimming, sunbathing and you can rent a paddleboard and kayaks. There\u2019s also a kids adventure park (free) and a lovely lakeside restaurant for lunch. A track runs around the lake for biking and walking, or running.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Follow our Lac Montriond Route Card no. 2. You can cycle there by road (30-40mins) or take the free bus as detailed below<\/p>

For a great day out and a more adventurous journey there you can hike or cycle to the lake using our Fantasticable Route Card 1 (you don’t have to do the Fantasticable if you prefer not to!). It starts by taking the Super Morzine gondola, (grid ref M6) then Zore chairlift, (one-off tickets purchased from station); then hike or bike down into Lindarets via track or mountain road for coffee or lunch. You can then do the Fantasticable (Chaux Fleurie chairlift) or bypass it and head down to the lake past the goat village. A great half day adventure. Age 12+.<\/p>

    At the bottom of the Channel Valley, also called the Vall\u00e9e des Mines d’Or, this small but beautiful lake enjoys a peaceful and tranquil environment. The area teems with nature and enjoys spectacular views. You will walk or cycle through forest and alongside the river and then up alongside mountain pastures and coniferous forests that surround the lake. You will be able to observe the biodiversity of this preserved natural area and admire the spectacular “Rouleau de Bostan”: a magnificent fold of rocks “made of onion peels”. It is also the starting point for many ideal family walks following easy and well-marked paths<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    A full day out, cycling or walking up the river Dereches past the Nyon Cascades, (waterfall), through pine forests and across the wild meadows of Vallee de la Manche. Zig zag your way up the hill to finish at Lac Mines D\u2019or from where you can enjoy further walks or just rest and enjoy this peaceful lake. Have a bite to eat or refresh yourself at the lakeside restaurant \u201cChalet Les Mines D\u2019or which serves traditional Savoie food. It\u2019s a refreshing change and well off the beaten track for nature lovers. Perfect with a picnic for a quiet afternoon in the sunshine.

    You can also access the lake by free shuttle bus. Many superb walks start from the lake, so just pick a trail and go and explore the surrounding area.
