Ski and Board Lessons

Everyone can benefit from ski or board lessons, they’re not just for the beginners! Our five half-day programme of beginner to expert lessons enables you to have one day of “free-skiing” to practice what you’ve learned. It’s a trusted formula that we’ve been using for the last 26 years using our preferred ski & board lesson partners.

Tips and Highlights

  • Kids from age 4 can learn to ski
  • Book a family lift pass (through us) for savings
  • Book a Local Area lift pass as a beginner. You won’t need a Full Area pass
  • All resorts have a beginner lift which is free
  • Save a few £’s and book your skis & boards with us
  • Book all your Extras with us, save a little, and benefit from our On the Snow service

Our 'tried & tested' ski schools

The ski and board schools that we recommend to you are tried and tested. We have carefully selected them to ensure they provide a great service for you, and that they use English-speaking instructors with a passion for their sport and the patience to deal with your learning ability.

Our preferred schools provide a full range of lessons to cater for all abilities: from young children and tentative adults to junior racers and powder seekers. So whether you’re looking to slide a turn for the first time or perfect your carving – we’ve got you covered!

Booking and Availability

We’re here to help every step of the way but the availability of lessons (especially in peak periods) can become limited. It always makes sense to pre-book directly with our suppliers as soon as possible.

Children & Skiing

We believe that the quality of ski school for your children should not be compromised. Learning to ski should be fun all the way; and it’s so very important to get it right. After all, we do not want to put them off as they take their first ‘tentative’ steps of their skiing careers. Our hand-picked ski schools are specially chosen for their friendly outlook and excellent, English speaking instructors and we’ve used them for years, so we know what to expect.

Children from the age of 4 can learn to ski and those younger than 4 can get a taste of skiing using the ski gardens and snow crèche facilities run by the ESF (Ecole du Ski Francais).

Our ‘On the Snow’ Service

If you buy your Ski Extras with us, we can provide our On the Snow service in the resort to give you help and assistance when you arrive, make your life easier and get you on the snow faster!

Our hosts and reps will be on hand from the moment you arrive to answer any questions you may have. They will deliver pre-booked lift passes straight to you and fast-track you (where we can) through the ski hire shops so you can get on the mountain faster.

If you book lessons using our recommended suppliers then we’ll have a good idea of how they operate and where the meeting points are.

If you book equipment and lift passes through us, we don’t mark up public rates and can often offer a discount. And we’ll help you with any problems in resort (which do come about!) as we have great relationships with our partner suppliers.

Third Party Suppliers

The third party suppliers we use, or recommend are entirely independent of us and their terms and conditions will apply, (copies of which can be sent to you on request). As such, the ski & board hire, lift passes, lessons & excursions do not form any part of your contract with us, and do not constitute a ‘package’ and accordingly, the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 do not apply to them, even where we endorse or recommend a particular operator/third party and/or assist you in booking such extras, activities or excursions. Please see our terms and conditions for more information
